Practical Information
Dragon Ball GT: Final Bout, known as Dragon Ball: Final Bout in Japan and Europe, is a fighting game for the PlayStation. Developed by TOSE and released by Bandai in 1997, it marked the first North American release for a Dragon Ball video game1. Despite its title referencing the anime series Dragon Ball GT, the game’s story doesn’t directly correlate with GT. Instead, it features a mix of characters from both Dragon Ball GT and its predecessor, Dragon Ball Z. The gameplay is reminiscent of the Butōden series, with 2D gameplay set in 3D environments. Players can fly across the field and execute special ki attacks called “Special Knockout Tricks.” Additionally, the game introduced the Meteor Smash technique, allowing players to chain melee attacks1.
